The Triangle
While some cities have a courthouse square, downtown Newbern is uniquely situated on a triangle.
The Triangle was built because of the railroad that cut through Newbern and its downtown area. It features a small park with a fountain, gazebo, and benches and is surrounded by retail stores and businesses.
