Volunteers provide immediate assistance to meet the emergency needs of families. Assistance given may include shelter, food, clothing, emotional support, prescription medication, and other critically needed items.

The best way to handle an emergency is to prepare for it.

Overview:

This training will prepare you to help your community prevent, prepare for, and respond to disasters. You will learn about volunteer opportunities and how you can become part of the Mid-South Chapter, Disaster Action Team (DAT). On-call DAT volunteers respond to meet emergency of those affected by house fires and other disasters. You can serve your neighbors as a part of this dynamic team.
