On November 1st, tickets for the second annual Newbern Depot Museum's reading of "The Polar Express," will go on sale at the Newbern Library, and the Newbern Hardware Store. The event will be a 30-minute reading of the book, "The Polar Express," and visit from Santa, with cookies and hot chocolate, in the depot's freight room.

The story will be read by the Conductor, and Santa will give a small gift to each child. Following the reading, and Santa gift, a time for photos will be provided.

Model trains in the main museum room will be operating.

Tickets will be $5 per person, ages 3 and up. All proceeds go to benefit the Newbern Depot Museum.

Reading times will be at 5 pm, and 6:30 pm, on both Friday, Dec.15th, and Saturday, Dec.16th. The event last year proved to be a huge success, and it is hoped it will be this year, too.
